The site is operated by The Drinks Club Ltd (“The Drinks Club”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a wholesale supplier of wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks to the drinks trade. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 08669158, with our registered office at Unit D, Gateway West London, 1–3 Uxbridge Road, Hayes UB4 0JN. Our VAT number is 169 1412 07 and we are approved under HMRC’s Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme (AWRS URN XHAW00000104058).
We are a business-to-business wholesaler. The site and our products and services are intended solely for trade customers buying in the course of business – not for consumers – and nothing on the site is an offer to sell alcohol to the public. By using the site or placing an order you confirm that you are acting in the course of a business, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you are authorised to act for the business you represent.
It is illegal to sell alcohol to anyone under 18, and we operate age verification on our deliveries. Deliveries must be accepted by a person aged 18 or over, and our drivers may ask for proof of age. Customers who resell alcohol are responsible for their own licensing and age-verification obligations.
Access to prices and ordering requires a trading account, which is opened through our new customer application and is subject to the checks described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your portal login details confidential and for orders placed under them – please tell us straight away if you think your login has been misused or compromised.
All orders and purchases are governed by our Terms of Sale, which are provided with your account application and are available from us on request. If there is any conflict between these website terms and the Terms of Sale, the Terms of Sale prevail for orders and purchases. Credit limits are at our discretion and all orders are subject to availability and acceptance.
We take care to keep the site accurate, but product details, vintages, ABVs, pack sizes and prices can change and errors can occur. Prices shown are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. If we discover a pricing or listing error affecting your order, we will tell you and give you the option to confirm at the correct price or cancel.
The content of the site – including our name, logo, text, images and price lists – belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for the purpose of trading with us, but you must not otherwise copy, republish or exploit it commercially without our written permission.
You must not misuse the site: do not introduce viruses or other harmful material, attempt unauthorised access to the site or its systems, scrape or bulk-extract content, or use the site in any unlawful way. We may suspend or withdraw access (including portal accounts) where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
You may link to our home page in a fair and legal way that does not suggest any association or endorsement where none exists. Where the site links to third-party websites, those links are provided for information only and we are not responsible for their content.
The site is provided free of charge for information and ordering convenience, and we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss or damage arising from use of the site itself; liability in relation to orders and goods is dealt with in our Terms of Sale. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Personal information collected through the site and in the course of our trading relationship is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at thedrinksclub.com/PrivacyPolicy.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site at the time you use it is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it was last changed.
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
